Specialising in English and Maths, we also offer tailored support in Science, History, and Music. Our personalised approach allows us to build strong, trusting relationships with our learners, helping them grow academically and emotionally in a safe, encouraging environment.

About Me

Hello, I'm Laura, the founder of The Happy Learning Hub. I'm an experienced teacher with over 25 years in education, as well as a Mum of two, one of whom attends school and the other is home educated. This gives me a broad and practical understanding of different learning journeys and what children need to thrive.

Throughout my career, I’ve held various leadership roles, including Reading Leader, Maths Lead, Music Coordinator, and served for many years as a Senior Leader and Acting Headteacher. I have a strong background in curriculum design, assessment including Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 SATs and individualised learning strategies.

I created The Happy Learning Hub because I believe in the power of 1:1 tuition to help children grow in confidence and make real progress in a comfortable, supportive environment. Every child is unique, and I’m passionate about creating learning experiences that meet them where they are and inspire them to love learning.
